The Slaying of Atikāya
वज्रंविष्टम्भितंयेनबाणैरिन्द्रस्यधीमतः ।पाशस्सलिलराजस्यरणेप्रतिहतस्तथा ।।।।एषोऽतिकायोबलवान्राक्षसानामथर्षभः ।रावणस्यतोधीमान्देवदानवदर्पहा ।।।।
vajraṃ viṣṭambhitaṃ yena bāṇair indrasya dhīmataḥ | pāśaḥ salilarājasya raṇe pratihatas tathā ||
Dengan anak panahnya ia menahan vajra milik Indra yang bijaksana; dan di medan laga ia pun menangkis pāśa Varuṇa, raja segala perairan.
"Here is strong Atikaya, a wise son of Ravana, bull among Rakshasas, who is a subduer of the pride of Devas and Danavas, by whom thunderbolt of Indra was obstructed firmly in battle and likewise the noose of Varuna was repelled in war."
