शुकसारण-चारप्रवेशः
Suka and Sāraṇa’s Espionage and Release
संस्थितंपर्वताग्रेषुनिर्दरेषुगुहासुच ।समुद्रस्यचतीरेषुवनेषूपवनेषुच ।।।।तरमाणंचतीर्णंचतर्तुकामंचसर्वशः ।निविष्टंनिविश्चैवभीमनादंमहाबलम् ।।।।तद्बलार्णवमक्षोभ्यंददृशातेनिशाचरौ ।
saṃsthitaṃ parvatāgreṣu nirdareṣu guhāsu ca | samudrasya ca tīreṣu vaneṣūpavaneṣu ca ||
taramāṇaṃ ca tīrṇaṃ ca tartukāmaṃ ca sarvaśaḥ | niviṣṭaṃ niviś caiva bhīmanādaṃ mahābalam ||
tad-balārṇavam akṣobhyaṃ dadṛśāte niśācarau ||
Mereka melihat samudra bala itu—tak tergoyahkan dan maha perkasa—tersebar ke segala arah: berdiri di puncak-puncak gunung, di jurang dan gua, di tepi samudra, di rimba dan kebun-kebun. Ada yang sedang menyeberang, ada yang telah menyeberang, ada yang ingin menyeberang; dan ada pula yang telah menetap, mengaumkan pekik mengerikan. Demikianlah kedua raksasa itu menyaksikan lautan kekuatan tersebut.
The ocean of army settled on the mountain summits, in caverns and caves, on the shores of the ocean, in the forests and adjoining gardens; some who crossed the sea some in the process of crossing settled all over was witnessed by the Rakshasas. It was never ending and making terrific noise.
