पूर्वदिशि सीतामार्गण-नियोगः
Deployment to the Eastern Quarter for the Search of Sita
पूर्वमेतत्कृतं द्वारं पृथिव्या भुवनस्य च।।4.40.63।।सूर्यस्योदयनं चैव पर्वा ह्येषा दिगुच्यते।
pūrvam etat kṛtaṃ dvāraṃ pṛthivyā bhuvanasya ca | sūryasyodayanaṃ caiva parvā hy eṣā dig ucyate ||
Inilah ‘gerbang’ timur yang ditetapkan bagi bumi dan bagi jagat; dan karena Sang Surya terbit dari sini, arah ini sungguh disebut Timur.
