The Slaying of Vali
नरोत्तमः कालयुगान्तकोपमंशरोत्तमं काञ्चनरूप्यभुषितम्।ससर्ज दीप्तं तममित्रमर्दनंसधूममग्निं मुखतो यथा हरः4.16.38।।
narottamaḥ kālayugāntakopamaṃ
śarottamaṃ kāñcanarūpyabhūṣitam |
sasarja dīptaṃ tam amitramardanaṃ
sadhūmam agniṃ mukhato yathā haraḥ || 4.16.38 ||
Sang narottama itu melepaskan anak panah yang tiada banding, laksana murka Kala pada akhir zaman; berhias emas dan perak, menyala-nyala dan menghancurkan musuh—bagaikan api berasap yang memancar dari mulut Hara (Śiva).
