अश्वानां खादनेनाहमर्थी नान्येन केनचित्।एतावताऽत्र भवता भविष्यामि सुपूजितः।।2.50.45।।
aśvānāṃ khādanenāham arthī nānyena kenacit |
ētāvatā ’tra bhavatā bhaviṣyāmi supūjitaḥ || 2.50.45 ||
Aku hanya memohon pakan bagi kuda-kuda, tidak menginginkan apa pun selain itu. Jika di sini engkau melakukan sebatas ini, aku akan merasa sungguh dimuliakan.
What I now need is fodder for the horses. Nothing more. If you can do this much, I'll deem it a great honour.
Dharma includes moderation and non-exploitation: Rama accepts only what is necessary, refusing excess even when offered hospitality.
Guha offers service; Rama limits his request to the practical need of feeding the horses.
