किमिदं भाषसे राम वाक्यं लघुतया ध्रुवम्।त्वया यदपहास्यं मे श्रुत्वा नरवरात्मज।।।।

Transliteration

kim idaṃ bhāṣase rāma vākyaṃ laghutayā dhruvam |

tvayā yad apahāsyaṃ me śrutvā naravarātmaja ||

Translation

Mengapa engkau, wahai Rāma, mengucapkan kata-kata ini begitu ringan namun seakan pasti? Wahai putra raja manusia, bila engkau mendengar kata-kata yang sama ditujukan kepadamu, niscaya engkau akan menganggapnya patut ditertawakan.
