Bharata’s Petition and Rama’s Dharma-Reasoning
तस्य मे दासभूतस्य प्रसादं कर्तुमर्हसि।अभिषिञ्चस्व चाद्येव राज्येन मघवानिव।।।।
tasya me dāsa-bhūtasya prasādaṃ kartum arhasi |
abhiṣiñcasva ca adya eva rājyena maghavān iva ||
Kepadaku yang berdiri sebagai hambamu, sudilah kiranya engkau menganugerahkan rahmat: bersemayamlah dan terimalah abhiseka kerajaan pada hari ini juga, laksana Maghavan (Indra).
It behoves you to grant me a favour. I am like your servant. Now get yourself coronated in the kingdom like Indra.
Rajadharma: the rightful ruler should accept responsibility for the welfare of the people; humility and service support rightful governance.
Bharata pleads for immediate coronation of Rāma, presenting himself as subordinate and urging restoration of proper order in Ayodhyā.
