Procedure for Lamp-Offering to Hanumān
गोमयं द्विविधं तत्र प्रोक्तं गोमहिषीभवम् । पश्चाद्विनष्टद्रव्याप्तौ माहिषं गोमयं स्मृतम् ॥ ६० ॥
gomayaṃ dvividhaṃ tatra proktaṃ gomahiṣībhavam | paścādvinaṣṭadravyāptau māhiṣaṃ gomayaṃ smṛtam || 60 ||
Di sana kotoran suci (gomaya) dinyatakan ada dua macam—yang berasal dari sapi dan yang berasal dari kerbau. Bila kemudian bahan yang semestinya hilang atau tidak tersedia, maka kotoran kerbau pun diingat sebagai ‘gomaya’ dan diterima sebagai pengganti.
