गङ्गामाहात्म्य — The Greatness of the Gaṅgā
बभूव बलवान्धर्मी कृतज्ञो गुणवान्सुधीः । धर्मज्ञः सोऽपि सगरो मुनेरमिततेजसः । समित्कुशाम्बुपुष्पादि प्रत्यहं समुपानयत् ॥ १५ ॥
babhūva balavāndharmī kṛtajño guṇavānsudhīḥ | dharmajñaḥ so'pi sagaro muneramitatejasaḥ | samitkuśāmbupuṣpādi pratyahaṃ samupānayat || 15 ||
Sagara pun menjadi kuat, saleh dalam dharma, tahu berterima kasih, berbudi luhur, dan bijaksana—seorang yang memahami dharma. Setiap hari ia membawa bagi resi yang bercahaya tak terukur persembahan berupa kayu samidh, rumput kuśa, air, bunga, dan lainnya.
