FAQs

It defines the “bhāgavatottama” by two core traits: a heart free from envy that celebrates others’ welfare, and unwavering absorption in Harināma—showing that inner disposition and remembrance of Hari are central to spiritual excellence.

Bhakti is presented as practical and relational: devotion is not only worship, but also purity of attitude toward others. Constant reliance on Hari’s Name, coupled with goodwill (rejoicing in others’ success), is portrayed as the hallmark of mature devotion.

No specific Vedāṅga technique is taught in this verse; the practical takeaway is sādhana-centered—Harināma (name-recitation) and ethical refinement (freedom from envy) as daily disciplines supporting dharma and bhakti.
