Yajñamālī–Sumālī Upākhyāna: Merit-Transfer through Temple Plastering (Lepa) and the Redemption of a Sinner
Sanatkumāra (in dialogue with Nārada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It declares that true devotees are not newly bound by saṃsāra, because their consciousness is anchored in Hari; seeing and honoring all through Hari-buddhi dissolves the conditions that generate bondage.
Bhakti here is not only ritual worship but a devotional worldview: the devotee practices samarcana with the conviction that the object of reverence and the act of reverence are oriented to Hari, cultivating non-separative devotion.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa, Jyotiṣa, or Kalpa) is taught in this verse; the practical takeaway is upāsanā-discipline—maintaining Hari-buddhi while performing worship and acts of honor.
