Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It teaches proper completion of śrāddha: after honoring the Pitṛs and Devas, one formally concludes by reciting svadhā and a Vedic ṛc, respectfully sending them back—signifying closure, gratitude, and ritual correctness.
Though primarily ritual, it reflects bhakti through reverent discipline—serving ancestors and gods with mantras and proper conclusion, which purifies the doer and supports a devotional life aligned with dharma.
It highlights mantra-prayoga (application of Vedic ṛc) and śrauta/smārta ritual procedure—how specific utterances like ‘svadhā’ and a designated Ṛgvedic verse are used to perform visarjana (formal dismissal).
