तृतीयवर्षे चौलं च पंचमे षष्टसम्मिते । सत्पमे चाष्टमे वापि कुर्याद् गृह्योक्तमार्गतः ॥ ९ ॥
tṛtīyavarṣe caulaṃ ca paṃcame ṣaṣṭasammite | satpame cāṣṭame vāpi kuryād gṛhyoktamārgataḥ || 9 ||
Pada tahun ketiga hendaknya dilakukan cūḍākaraṇa (upacara pemotongan rambut); atau boleh pada tahun kelima, keenam, ketujuh, bahkan kedelapan, menurut tata cara yang diajarkan dalam Gṛhya-sūtra.
