Dharmopadeśa-Śānti: Rules of Impurity, Expiations, and Ancestor Rites

पापं न क्षीयते हन्तुर्दाता च नरकं व्रजेत् । अश्रौतस्मार्तविहितं प्रायश्चित्तं वदन्ति ये ॥ ५५ ॥

pāpaṃ na kṣīyate hanturdātā ca narakaṃ vrajet | aśrautasmārtavihitaṃ prāyaścittaṃ vadanti ye || 55 ||

Dosa si pembunuh tidak berkurang, dan orang yang memberi perintah/izin pun pergi ke neraka—demikian kata mereka yang menetapkan prāyaścitta yang tidak disahkan oleh Śruti dan Smṛti.
