The Exposition of the Dvādaśī Vow for the Twelve Months
Dvādaśī-vrata-nirṇaya and Mahā-dvādaśī Lakṣaṇas
Suta (narrating the Purana; teaching attributed in tradition to Narada–Sanatkumara dialogue)
Vrata: Jayantī (Dvādaśī) (continued description)
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It links a Dvādaśī-based observance with both bhukti (prosperity) and mukti (liberation), presenting vrata as a complete dharmic path that yields worldly and transcendent results.
By praising the vrata as giving the merit of “all gifts” and culminating in liberation, it implies that disciplined sacred time-observance (especially connected with Vishnu-oriented tithis like Ekadashi–Dvadashi) functions as a practical form of bhakti and surrender.
Jyotiṣa (Vedic astrology): it specifies efficacy based on tithi (Dvādaśī), pakṣa (bright fortnight), and graha-yoga (association with Jupiter and the Sun).
