Narada (in instruction to a dvija within the Narada Purana’s vrata discourse)
Vrata: Pāpamocanī Ekādaśī
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It links disciplined vrata practice (Pāpamocanī Ekādaśī) with direct devotional completion—worship of Govinda on Dvādaśī—presenting sin-removal as both ethical restraint and God-centered devotion.
Bhakti is shown as the culmination of observance: fasting/keeping Ekādaśī is not merely austerity; it is meant to lead into conscious worship of Govinda, especially on the next morning (Dvādaśī), completing the vow through personal devotion.
It applies calendrical and ritual timing (tithi-based observance: Ekādaśī followed by Dvādaśī morning worship), reflecting practical jyotiṣa-style lunar-day reckoning used for vrata scheduling.
