Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It presents a classic vrata-phala teaching: disciplined fasting (upoṣa) combined with devoted worship (pūjā) is said to yield concrete fruits, especially the blessing of family continuity (santati) along with other desired aims.
Bhakti is shown as practical devotion—undertaking a vow/fast and offering worship to the deity revered as Śiva and Umā’s beloved son—where sincere observance is linked to receiving grace in the form of wished-for outcomes.
Ritual discipline (kalpa-style practice) is implied: the coordination of upavāsa (fasting) and pūjā (worship) as a vow-observance method, emphasizing correct performance and intended phala (result).
