Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It functions as an anukramaṇikā (table-of-contents) verse, placing sacred geography and cosmology in a deliberate sequence—Bhārata, other regions, the seven dvīpas, and the adholokas—so the listener understands the Purāṇic map of the universe as a framework for dharma and pilgrimage-oriented living.
Indirectly: by previewing Bhārata and the wider cosmic regions, it prepares the devotee for later sections where holy places, worlds, and divine order are described—supporting bhakti through remembrance (smaraṇa) of the Lord’s cosmos and reverence for sacred lands.
The verse mainly signals Purāṇic cosmography (bhūgola/loka-vyavasthā) rather than a specific Vedāṅga; its practical takeaway is orientation—understanding dvīpas and lokas as the narrative framework used in Purāṇas for time, space, and sacred geography.
