Adhyaya 82 — The Rise of Mahishasura and the Manifestation of the Goddess from the Gods’ Tejas

Sanskrit

सौम्येन स्तनयोर्युग्मं मध्यं चैन्द्रेण चाभवत् । वारुणेन च जङ्घोरू नितम्बस्तेजसा भुवः ॥

Transliteration

saumyena stanayor yugmaṃ madhyaṃ caindreṇa cābhavat / vāruṇena ca jaṅghorū nitambas tejasā bhuvaḥ

Translation

Oleh daya Soma terwujud sepasang payudaranya; oleh daya Indra terwujud pinggangnya. Oleh daya Varuṇa terwujud betis dan pahanya; dan oleh sinar Bumi terwujud pinggulnya.
