Educational Q&A

The verse emphasizes dharma as disciplined adherence to scripturally prescribed duties—honoring gods, seers, and ancestors through proper rites, not merely through intention but through correct method (vidhi).

Nārada describes an illustrious person performing tarpana—ritual offerings meant to ‘satisfy’ the Pitṛs, and also the devas and ṛṣis—following the established injunctions and procedure.
