चित्रसेन-समागमः / The Engagement with Citrasena and the Gandharvas
अभिपन्नास्मि पाञज्चालि याज्ञसेनि क्षमस्व मे । कामकार: सखीनां हि सोपहासं प्रभाषितम्,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! द्रौपदीकी ये धर्मयुक्त बातें सुनकर सत्यभामाने उस धर्मपरायणा पाज्चालीका समादर करते हुए कहा--'पाञज्चालराजकुमारी! याज्ञसेनी! मैं तुम्हारी शरणमें आयी हूँ; (मैंने जो अनुचित प्रश्न किया है), उसके लिये मुझे क्षमा कर दो। सखियोंमें परस्पर स्वेच्छापूर्वक ऐसी हास-परिहासकी बातें हो जाया करती हैं!
abhipannāsmī pāñcāli yājñaseni kṣamasva me | kāmakāraḥ sakhīnāṃ hi sopahāsaṃ prabhāṣitam ||
Wahai Pāñcālī, wahai Yājñasenī, aku datang memohon perlindunganmu—maafkan pertanyaanku yang tidak patut itu. Di antara sahabat perempuan, kata-kata senda-gurau sering terlontar dengan bebas disertai tawa.
