पादपानां च या माता करञ्जनिलया हि सा । वरदा सा हि सौम्या च नित्यं भूतानुकम्पिनी,जो वृक्षोंकी माता है, वह करंजवृक्षपर निवास किया करती है। वह वर देनेवाली तथा सौम्य है और सदा समस्त प्राणियोंपर कृपा करती है

Transliteration

pādapānāṃ ca yā mātā karañjanilayā hi sā | varadā sā hi saumyā ca nityaṃ bhūtānukampinī ||

Translation

Mārkaṇḍeya berkata: “Dia yang menjadi ibu pepohonan bersemayam pada pohon karañja. Lembut tabiatnya, penganugerahan berkah, dan senantiasa berbelas kasih kepada semua makhluk.”
