अग्निवंशवर्णनम् (Agni-vaṃśa-varṇana) / The Genealogy and Function of Agni

एते पञ्चदश ब्रह्मन्‌ गुणा भूतेषु पजचसु । वर्तन्ते सर्वभूतेषु येषु लोका: प्रतिछ्ठिता:,ब्रह्मन! इस प्रकार पाँचों भूतोंमें ये पंद्रह गुण बताये गये हैं। इन्हींमें सम्पूर्ण लोक प्रतिष्ठित हैं

ete pañcadaśa brahman guṇā bhūteṣu pañcasu | vartante sarvabhūteṣu yeṣu lokāḥ pratiṣṭhitāḥ ||

Wahai Brahmana, kelima mahābhūta memuat lima belas sifat ini. Sifat-sifat itu bekerja dalam semua makhluk; di atasnya dunia-dunia berdiri tegak.
