अग्निवंशवर्णनम् (Agni-vaṃśa-varṇana) / The Genealogy and Function of Agni
शब्द: स्पर्शश्व॒ रूपं च तेजसो5थ गुणास्त्रय: । शब्द: स्पर्शश्व॒ वायौ तु शब्दश्वाकाश एव तु,शब्द, स्पर्श तथा रूप--ये तेजके तीन गुण हैं, शब्द और स्पर्श--ये दो गुण वायुके हैं तथा आकाशमें एक ही गुण है--शब्द
śabdaḥ sparśaś ca rūpaṃ ca tejaso 'tha guṇās trayaḥ | śabdaḥ sparśaś ca vāyau tu śabdaś cākāśa eva tu ||
Sang pemburu-pertapa melanjutkan: “Api dikenal oleh tiga sifat—bunyi, sentuhan, dan rupa. Angin memiliki dua—bunyi dan sentuhan. Adapun akasa hanya satu—bunyi.”
