Adhyāya 208: Aṅgirasī-kanyāḥ

Enumeration of Aṅgiras’ daughters and attribute-names

परुषं च न भाषन्ते सदा सन्‍्तो द्विजप्रिया: । जो समस्त प्राणियोंपर दया करते, सदा अहिंसा-धर्मके पालनमें तत्पर रहते और कभी किसीसे कटु वचन नहीं बोलते, ऐसे संत सदा समस्त द्विजोंके प्रिय होते हैं

paruṣaṃ ca na bhāṣante sadā santaḥ dvijapriyāḥ |

Orang-orang bajik, yang senantiasa dicintai para dvija, tidak berkata kasar. Mereka yang berbelas kasih kepada semua makhluk, teguh dalam dharma ahimsa, dan tak pernah mengucapkan kata pahit—merekalah yang selalu dikasihi kaum terpelajar dan saleh.
