ब्राह्मण उवाच
This verse is a colophon rather than a teaching verse: it emphasizes textual completion and frames the preceding story as a self-contained moral episode within the Vana Parva’s broader dharma-oriented instruction.
The speaker’s line functions as an editorial closure, announcing that the chapter dealing with the account of Seduka, Vrisha, and Darbha—within the Markandeya-related sub-section of the Vana Parva—has concluded.
