Educational Q&A

The verse presents the ethical framing of necessary force: the end of destructive beings is sought as a duty to protect welfare and uphold cosmic order, not as personal hatred.

Indra (Śakra) urges Brahmā (Svayaṃbhū) to bring about the destruction of certain Dānavas, appealing to the welfare of all concerned.
