Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the immense momentum of warfare: once martial force is engaged, destruction follows through multiple instruments—mounts, chariots, and weapons—reminding the reader of the grave ethical weight carried by a warrior’s actions even when performed as duty.

Arjuna reports the outcome of a combat episode: as the chariot advances and arrows are released, the combined trampling, wheel-rumble, and missile-strikes result in the death of hundreds of asuras.
