Saubha-ākhyāna: Śālva’s Approach and the Fortification of Dvārakā (सौभाख्यानम्—द्वारकायाः सुरक्षाविधानम्)

गृहीत्वा कार्मुकं साम्ब: शाल्वस्य सचिवं रणे | योधयामास संद्ृष्ट: क्षेमवृद्धि चमूपतिम्‌,हर्षमें भरे हुए साम्बने धनुष धारण करके शाल्वके मन्त्री तथा सेनापति क्षेमवृद्धिके साथ युद्ध किया

gṛhītvā kārmukaṃ sāmbaḥ śālvasya sacivaṃ raṇe | yodhayāmāsa saṃdṛṣṭaḥ kṣemavṛddhiṃ camūpatim ||

Sāmba, dipenuhi semangat perang, mengangkat busurnya dan di medan laga menghadapi langsung menteri Śālva serta panglima pasukannya, Kṣemavṛddhi, lalu bertempur dengan mereka.
