वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights attentiveness to the natural world as a means of steadying the mind during hardship; in the forest-exile setting, beauty and harmony in nature can temper agitation and support endurance.
The narrator addresses Bhīma and draws his attention to the reverberating, sweet calls of peacocks on the mountain slopes, painting a vivid scene of the wilderness through sound and atmosphere.
