Kubera’s Fivefold Nīti and Protection of the Pāṇḍavas (वैश्रवणोपदेशः)

नानामृगगणैर्जुष्टं कौन्तेय: सत्यविक्रम: । पदाति भ्रत्िभि: सार्धथ प्रातिछतत युधिछिर:,फिर सत्यपराक्रमी कुन्तीनन्दन युधिष्ठिर अपने भाइयोंके साथ पैदल ही (वृषपर्वकि बताये हुए मार्गपर) चले, जो अनेक जातिके मृगोंके झुंडोंसे भरा हुआ था

nānāmṛgagaṇair juṣṭaṃ kaunteyaḥ satyavikramaḥ | padātibhrātṛbhiḥ sārdhaṃ prātiṣṭhata yudhiṣṭhiraḥ ||

Kemudian Yudhiṣṭhira, putra Kuntī—teguh dalam kebenaran dan terbukti dalam keberanian—berangkat berjalan kaki bersama saudara-saudaranya, menempuh rute yang ditunjukkan Vṛṣaparvā, melalui wilayah yang dipenuhi kawanan berbagai jenis satwa liar.
