Gandhamādana-praveśa and the Sudden Storm (गन्धमादनप्रवेशः — चण्डवातवर्षवर्णनम्)
तस्य विष्णुर्महातेजा: पाणिना चेतनां हरत् । स पपात ततो भूमौ गिरिराज इवाहतः,ऐसा कहकर महातेजस्वी भगवान् विष्णुने हाथसे मारकर उस दैत्यके प्राण हर लिये और वह वच्रके मारे हुए गिरिराजकी भाँति पृथ्वीपर गिर पड़ा
tasya viṣṇur mahātejāḥ pāṇinā cetanāṃ harat | sa papāta tato bhūmau girirāja ivāhataḥ ||
Setelah berkata demikian, Viṣṇu yang mahacemerlang menamparnya dengan tangan-Nya dan merenggut napas hidup sang asura. Seketika ia roboh ke bumi, laksana raja gunung yang dihantam vajra.
