Sagara Upākhyāna: Kapila’s Wrath, Aṃśumān’s Reverence, and the Bhāgīratha Line

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights dharma as restorative responsibility: nature and order may be disrupted, but through righteous intent—especially duty toward ancestors and the wider world—balance is re-established.

A prediction is made that the ocean, after a long time, will be replenished by great waters and return to its normal condition; this is linked (in the surrounding explanation) to Bhagīratha’s purpose of redeeming his forefathers.
