Educational Q&A

Yudhiṣṭhira frames care for distressed dependents as a dharmic obligation: those who are grief-stricken must be protected and sustained diligently, with the ruler’s (or guardian’s) welfare-intent and conscientious effort.

Speaking as leader, Yudhiṣṭhira instructs his companions to take active responsibility for others who are accompanying them and are shaken by sorrow and anguish, emphasizing careful guardianship and collective support.
