Sanjaya berkata: “Baik Droṇa, maupun Rādheya (Karṇa), maupun Aśvatthāmā, bahkan Kṛpa sekalipun—tak seorang pun cukup kuat untuk berdiri teguh di medan laga di hadapan Partha (Arjuna) ketika ia murka.”

The verse underscores how a warrior’s focused resolve—especially when fueled by righteous anger—can surpass even the greatest reputations. Ethically, it hints at the double edge of wrath: it can become an irresistible force in defense of one’s cause, yet it also raises the question of restraint and dharma amid violence.
Sañjaya reports an assessment made on the battlefield: when Arjuna is provoked and fully engaged, even famed Kaurava-side champions—Droṇa, Karṇa, Aśvatthāmā, and Kṛpa—are described as unable to withstand him in direct combat.
