Mataṅga–Śakra Dialogue on Tapas, Status, and Moral Qualities
सा,भूतभव्यभविष्यज्ञैर्महर्षिभिरुपस्थिताम् । देवै: सेन्द्रैश्न को गड़ां नोपसेवेत मानव: भूत, वर्तमान और भविष्यके ज्ञाता महर्षि तथा इन्द्र आदि देवता भी जिनकी उपासना करते हैं, उन गंगाजीका सेवन कौन मनुष्य नहीं करेगा?
sā bhūtabhavyabhaviṣyajñair maharṣibhir upasthitām | devaiḥ sendraiś ca ko gaṅgāṃ nopaseveta mānavaḥ ||
Gaṅgā itu dihormati dan didampingi para maharṣi yang mengetahui masa lampau, kini, dan yang akan datang; bahkan para dewa bersama Indra pun memujanya—manusia mana yang tidak akan mendatangi dan meminum air Gaṅgā?
