Shloka 45

भूतभव्यभवन्नाथ: पवन: पावनो5नल: । कामहा कामकृत्‌ कान्तः काम: कामप्रद: प्रभु:

bhūtabhavyabhavannāthaḥ pavanaḥ pāvano 'nalaḥ | kāmahā kāmakṛt kāntaḥ kāmaḥ kāmapradaḥ prabhuḥ ||

Bhishma berkata: Dialah Penguasa masa lampau, masa depan, dan masa kini; Dialah Angin, Sang Penyuci, dan Api. Ia melenyapkan nafsu pada mereka yang melekat pada tujuan egois, namun juga menunaikan harapan yang benar dari para bhakta. Indah dan terkasih, Ia disebut ‘Kāma’—yang dimuliakan sebagai prinsip ilahi bertiga—Ia menganugerahkan anugerah yang diinginkan; Dialah Prabhu, pemilik segala kuasa.
