Ādi Parva, Adhyāya 193 — Hastināpura Mantra: Duryodhana’s Proposals to Divide the Pāṇḍavas

तान्‌ सिंहविक्रान्तगतीन्‌ निरीक्ष्य महर्षभाक्षानजिनोत्तरीयान्‌ । गूढोत्तरांसान्‌ भुजगेन्द्र भोग- प्रलम्बबाहून्‌ पुरुषप्रवीरान्‌

tān siṁha-vikrānta-gatīn nirīkṣya maharṣabhākṣān ajinottarīyān | gūḍhottarāṁsān bhujagendra-bhoga-pralamba-bāhūn puruṣa-pravīrān, rājan |

Waiśaṃpāyana berkata: Wahai Raja, ketika melihat para Pāṇḍava—para singa di antara manusia—yang langkahnya menampakkan keberanian laksana singa, matanya besar bagaikan banteng perkasa, mengenakan kulit kijang hitam sebagai selendang, tulang selangkanya tertutup daging yang padat, dan lengan-lengannya panjang, tebal, serta besar seperti lilitan raja ular—Raja Drupada bersama putra-putranya, para menteri, sahabat baik, kawan, dan para pelayan semuanya diliputi sukacita yang besar di sana.
