त्वमेव तु महाबाहो मय्यपत्यानि भारत । वीर वीर्योपपन्नानि धर्मतो जनयिष्यसि,“महाबाहु वीर भारत! आप ही मेरे गर्भसे धर्मपूर्वक अनेक पराक्रमी पुत्र उत्पन्न करेंगे
tvam eva tu mahābāho mayy apatyāni bhārata | vīra vīryopapannāni dharmato janayiṣyasi ||
“Wahai Mahābāhu, pahlawan keturunan Bharata, engkaulah yang akan menurunkan dalam rahimku banyak anak—para kesatria yang gagah, berdaya-perkasa—semuanya menurut dharma.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse emphasizes that progeny and dynastic continuation should arise through dharma—legitimate, ethically sanctioned means—so that strength and heroism are aligned with righteousness rather than mere power.
A speaker addresses a heroic Bharata-descendant, affirming that he will father many powerful children in her womb, and explicitly frames this begetting as to be done ‘according to dharma,’ underscoring lawful and righteous succession.
