वंशानुवर्णनम् — सात्वतवंशः, स्यमन्तक-प्रसङ्गः, कृष्णावतारः, शिवप्रसादः (पाशुपतयोगः)
तथेत्युवाच तस्या वै पिता काममपूरयत् दाता शूरश् च यज्वा च श्रुतवानतिथिप्रियः
tathetyuvāca tasyā vai pitā kāmamapūrayat dātā śūraś ca yajvā ca śrutavānatithipriyaḥ
Sang ayah berkata, “Demikianlah,” lalu memenuhi keinginannya. Ia seorang dermawan, pemberani, pelaksana yajña, berpengetahuan śruti, dan pecinta memuliakan tamu. Dengan dharma demikian, seorang gṛhastha menempuh dāna, yajña, dan pelayanan untuk menyucikan karma, sehingga paśu (jiwa) berbalik menuju Pati, Bhagavān Śiva.
