Atharva Veda 18.2.3 — Kanda 18, Anuvaka 1, Sukta 2, Mantra 3

य॒माय॑ घृ॒तव॒त् पयो॒ राज्ञे॑ ह॒विर्जु॑होतन । स नो॑ जी॒वेष्वा य॑मेद् दी॒र्घमायुः॒ प्र जी॒वसे॑

yamā́ya ghṛtávát páyo rā́jñe havír juhotana | sá no jīvéṣv ā́ yamet dīrghám ā́yuḥ prá jīváse

For Yama, for the King, offer ye as oblation milk rich with ghee. May he, among us who live, apportion hither long life, that we may live on.

Bagi Yama, bagi Sang Raja, persembahkanlah sebagai havis susu yang kaya ghee. Semoga ia, di antara kami yang hidup, menganugerahkan ke sini umur panjang, agar kami terus hidup.
