Rudra’s Hymn: Vision of Nārāyaṇa, the Emergence of the Ādityas, and the Mutual Boon of Hari and Hara
sṛṣṭiṁ sṛjati vai brahmā tad-arthaṁ yānty amī narāḥ | pratipālanāya tasyāstu sṛṣṭer deva na saṁśayaḥ || 73.10 ||
Varāha (default, speaker not explicit in fragment)
It reflects a common Purāṇic framework that distinguishes creation (sṛṣṭi) from preservation/maintenance (pratipālana), a conceptual division used in classical Indian cosmological and political-ethical discourse.
No specific geographic location is mentioned in this verse fragment.
The verse foregrounds the principle that creation entails responsibility for protection and maintenance—an ethical logic that can be read as governance-oriented stewardship rather than mere origination.
