Instruction on the Unity of the Triad
Brahmā-Viṣṇu-Rudra
ahaṁ viṣṇus tathā vedā brahma karmāṇi cāpy uta | etat trayaṁ tv ekam eva na pṛthag bhāvayet sudhīḥ || 72.15 ||
Varāha
It reflects a Purāṇic strategy of harmonizing scriptural authority (Veda), metaphysical principle (Brahman), and religious practice (karma) by presenting them as a unified framework, a theme common in medieval Sanskrit theological synthesis.
No geographic location is mentioned in this verse.
The verse advises intellectual discipline: the wise should avoid construing ultimate reality, sacred revelation, and prescribed action as fundamentally separate, emphasizing integrative understanding over fragmentation.
