The Observance for the Fulfilment of Desires: Worship of Keśava in the Form of Guha
Kumāra
अनेन दत्त्वा मन्त्रेण ब्राह्मणाय सयुग्मकम् । ततः कामाः समृद्ध्यन्ते सर्वे वै इह जन्मनि ॥ ६१.९ ॥
anena dattvā mantreṇa brāhmaṇāya sayugmakam | tataḥ kāmāḥ samṛddhyante sarve vai iha janmani || 61.9 ||
इस मंत्र के साथ ब्राह्मण को देना है। जब आप देंगे, तो इस जन्म में ही सारी इच्छा पूरी हो जाएगी।
Varāha
It reflects a common Purāṇic motif in which prescribed forms of dāna (ritual gifting), accompanied by mantra-recitation, are linked to social-ethical ideals and to promised benefits within worldly life, illustrating the text’s integration of ritual practice with normative conduct.
No geographic location is named in this verse; it focuses on the act of gifting and its stated outcome rather than sacred topography.
The verse emphasizes disciplined generosity—making a properly framed gift (here, described as “with its pair/counterpart”) to a qualified recipient (a brāhmaṇa), presented as a means for the flourishing of one’s legitimate aims in life.
