जितना तुम कर सकते हो, उतना करो। सोने की धरती बना के दो। दो गाय भी दो। दो कपड़े भी दो। अपनी हिम्मत के हिसाब से सब कुछ करो।
Varāha (default, instructor voice in Varāha–Pṛthivī dialogue framework)
It reflects a Purāṇic articulation of dāna-dharma, linking merit-making practices with tangible goods (gold, cattle, textiles) while emphasizing proportionality to one’s resources—an important feature of South Asian ritual economy and social ethics.
No specific geographic site is named in this verse; the reference to “earth” (mahī) functions as a symbolic or ritual object rather than a mapped location.
Charitable giving should be performed in a manner proportionate to one’s means (yathāśakti / yathāvibhava), recommending specific categories of gifts without implying an absolute requirement beyond capacity.
