Account of the Maṇija Kings and a Hymn to Govinda Leading to Liberation
śambhuḥ senāpatir abhūt sukānto daśarathaḥ smṛtaḥ | somo 'bhūj janako rājā ete tretāyuge nṛpa || 36.7 ||
Varāha (default dialogue framework; explicit speaker not indicated in the fragment)
It preserves a Purāṇic-style record of royal and administrative roles in the Tretāyuga, including name-equivalences that reflect how later tradition remembered or re-identified figures across narratives.
No specific geographic site is named in this verse; it focuses on personal names and offices (king/commander) rather than a place.
The verse does not present a direct ethical injunction; its function is archival—cataloguing rulers and roles—supporting broader Purāṇic themes of governance and the continuity of social order across yugas.
