Eulogy of the Merits (Phalaśruti) of the Dharāṇī-Varāha Dialogue
kapilāṃ dvija-mukhyāya samyag dattvā tu yat phalam || prāpnoti sakalaṃ śrutvā cādhyāyaṃ tu na saṃśayaḥ
Varāha (default dialogue framework)
It reflects Purāṇic strategies of equating textual participation (hearing/recitation) with established gift-ritual economies (dāna), indicating how texts promoted their own circulation.
No geographic location is identified in this verse.
It elevates attentive hearing of the chapter as a culturally valued act comparable to formal acts of generosity.
Answers come straight from the texts, with the shlokas they draw on. Ask in your own words.
