Eulogy of the Merits (Phalaśruti) of the Dharāṇī-Varāha Dialogue
sarva-pāpa-vinirmuktaḥ sa yāti paramāṃ gatim || prabhāse naimiṣāraṇye gaṅgādvāre ’tha puṣkare
Varāha (default dialogue framework)
It documents a network of well-known tīrthas, useful for reconstructing pilgrimage geographies and the circulation of Purāṇic traditions across regions.
Prabhāsa (often linked with Somanātha/Prabhāsa Pāṭaṇa region), Naimiṣāraṇya (commonly identified in Uttar Pradesh), Gaṅgādvāra (traditionally Haridwar), and Puṣkara (near Ajmer, Rajasthan).
The verse frames purification and ‘highest state’ as outcomes of engaging with the teaching, while situating it within a landscape of culturally significant sites.
