Description of the Māhātmya of Gokarṇeśvara and Jaleśvara (Śaileśvara) in the Śleṣmātaka Forest
tatra snātvā bhavet toye rūpavān uttamadyutiḥ | trisandhyaṃ tatra gacchet tu pūrveṇa vidhivan naraḥ ||
Varāha (default, instructor voice)
It records time-regulated pilgrimage practice (trisandhyā) and route conventions, offering insight into how sacred space was experienced through ritual schedules.
The verse refers back to the previously mentioned tīrtha (“there”); it additionally notes an eastern approach (pūrveṇa), but does not name a modern-identifiable place by itself.
Regularity and procedural correctness (vidhivat) are presented as the core discipline, linking bodily practice with cultivated conduct.
