Description of the Māhātmya of Gokarṇeśvara and Jaleśvara (Śaileśvara) in the Śleṣmātaka Forest
mṛgaśṛṅgodakaṁ nāma nityaṁ munijanapriyam || tatrābhiṣekaṁ kurvīta upaspṛśya samāhitaḥ
Varāha (default, instructor voice in the Varāha–Pṛthivī dialogue frame)
It preserves a named hydro-toponym (Mṛgaśṛṅgodaka) and embeds it in a ritual protocol, valuable for reconstructing local sacred-water traditions and their textual legitimization.
Mṛgaśṛṅgodaka is identified as a specific sacred water source; the verse does not provide enough data for a definitive modern identification without external corroboration.
Ritual action should be preceded by purification and performed with mental concentration (samāhita).
